How our hair guides are made

Who writes the guides on the Medyko blog, where their facts come from, how we correct them, and what they can’t do for you.

Who writes the guides, and how we use AI

The guides on this blog are written by Maša together with the Medyko team.

Our articles are drafted with the help of AI tools. The Medyko team then edits every article before it is published.

Where the facts come from

We research our guides against peer-reviewed studies, and we try to say how strong the evidence is. A large clinical trial, a small pilot study and a lab experiment are not the same thing, and we try not to present them as if they were.

Guides on health topics end with a numbered list called “Sources”. Each entry links to the study itself, on PubMed when the study is listed there, so you can read it and judge for yourself.

No medical reviewer, and no medical advice

Our articles are not reviewed by a doctor or any other medical professional.

They are general information, not medical advice, and they can’t tell you what is happening with your own hair. If you are worried about hair loss or your health, see a doctor or a dermatologist. Only someone who can examine you can give you a diagnosis.

Medyko sells hair-care products

This blog is run by Medyko, and Medyko sells hair-care products. Keep that in mind as you read.

We keep the products apart from the guides. When a guide shows a product, it sits in its own box marked “From Medyko”, with the product’s name, picture and price and a line saying what it is.

In the guides, we don’t claim that a Medyko product treats or cures hair loss or any other condition.

Updates and corrections

Every guide shows the date it was published. When we change something that matters, such as correcting a fact or adding new research, we add an “Updated” date next to it. Fixing a typo doesn’t change the date.

If you find a mistake, or think we have misread a study, tell us. If you are right, we will correct the guide.

Write to us at info@medyko.com.

Older articles

We started working this way after the blog was already running. Articles from before that will be redone one at a time. Until an article has been redone, it may not meet everything on this page. For example, it may not have a “Sources” list yet.
